LA Historical Markers is a user-driven database of signs commissioned through the Louisiana Historical Markers programs. These (usually) brown, roadside signs can be found marking buildings, towns, and areas of historical significance across the state. In the LA Historical Markers app, you can find markers near you, explore markers across the entire state, and even submit markers you find.
This app is 100% user driven, so if you don't see a sign that you know exists, be sure to submit it the next time you find yourself driving by.

- Markers should no longer flash as you move around (that one was annoying us).
- Name and Description should no longer clear when the app is backgrounded

We'll take you step by step through the process of submitting a marker to make sure we have the most accurate information.
